Digital Enterprise Africa is seeking companies willing to host our trainees, with the option to employ them afterward.
DEA does not itself provide stipends, transport, or equipment to trainees. We ask host companies to cover (some of) these directly, keeping the pathway open to learners – while giving host companies a direct hand in shaping the talent they take on.
We are looking for companies which are committed to genuinely developing these young people’s skills, willing to build a good-faith partnership with DEA, and prepared to treat and train trainees fairly and professionally throughout the placement.
Why Partner With DEA
Access to certified, mentor-supported talent trained specifically on the Microsoft Azure/AI pathway, including the new cybersecurity track.
A direct hand in shaping the skills of the people you may go on to employ.
Section 18A tax certificates for contributions of financial value.
Recognition in DEA’s marketing and reporting as a host partner.
Cover – trainee stipends, transport and devices for the duration of the placement.
Provide – real, meaningful work – not “make-work,” so trainees may build genuine experience.
Consider – employing strong performers at the end of the placement, though this is not a requirement.
200 Mentors, One Purpose
Digital Enterprise Africa is powered by roughly 200 senior ICT professionals – drawn from our own Institute for Satellite & Software Applications (ISSA) alumni network and partner organisations – who volunteer their time so that learners pay nothing for world-class instruction.
- Every learner is allocated to a mentor matched to their stage and area of interest
- Sessions are practical and project-based, not lecture-style
- Mentors carry learners from their first module through to their first paid role or venture
Become a Mentor
Digital Enterprise Africa is seeking caring professionals – people who work in government, corporate, education, investment and financial services, SMMEs, startups and others – who wish to volunteer their time to hold meaningful and inspirational conversations with the learners.
Help a learner get ready to work
Our learners have the courses and certificates. What they need is people who will teach them, guide them and open doors.
Teach a session. Give one 45-minute webinar or short lesson on your field. You choose the date; we handle the platform and the learners.
Mentor a cohort. Two hours a month for a 6-month period. We handle the logistics.
Open a door at your company. Tell us 3 ways your employer could help with: ESD, CSI, AI licences, cloud credits, laptops, devices, data, exam vouchers or a host placement. Introduce us and we will take it from there.
Give or sponsor. Any one item, or a funded learner seat.
